Today is a very big day because I finished doing a Yoga with Adriene 30 Day Challenge. Feeling very fit and successful. Onto the next one >:)
And this week is a very big week because, as I mentioned on our call yesterday, Kyra got into Yale!!! Which means that her med school stress is over!! She got emails from her interviewers today so she is starting to feel like it is real, which is great news :^) Not gonna lie friends, from watching Kyra apply for the past two years, the process of applying to medical school is quite a taxing task, but all of her hard work is definitely paying off this cycle, and I'm really excited for her.
This week has been kind of a transitory week for me. At the end of next week, I'm going to head up to Smith and visit some friends on campus. I'll also be doing an online Empowerment program that week, giving a lecture in my professors' class, and doing an info session for the fellowships office. So, this week I'm just kind of prepping for all those things, plus planning our Italy travels with you guys. Things are starting to feel like they are coming together, even though planning stresses me out a lot eek. Hopefully at the end of next week, I will start to have more fun stuff to talk about lol.
Over the weekend, Kyra and I went to the Super 88 food court in Boston to try some various foods. We went to this restaurant called Kimchi Papi, where they make those Korean cheese corn dogs that were really popular a few months ago. We tried to order them once, but by the time they arrived, they weren't that good, so we wanted to get them fresh. They were very yummy, would recommend. Here's the slow-mo for the full impact:
They also had mochi donuts (I forgot to get a picture tho), which I had wanted to get ever since we had them in California. Honestly, these ones were just kind of okay, but I love donuts of any kind so it was a good time. And then we just got ramen because it was a chilly day. Overall, a good fun day :')
I don't really have any recommendations this week, so I'm not sure how to end my post, but my sister and I are almost done reading Dune. We'll probably finish in the next couple of weeks, so I'm excited to watch the movie (with Timmy) soon. Oh, and I watched the Euphoria finale last night -- do you guys still watch that show? I've only seen scattered episodes and moments here or there but it was pretty bad in my opinion...ah well, so it goes.
Also why the cake pillow as your blog photo 😂
The slo-mo was so satisfying l: I want a Korean corndog now😻😻! And I am glad I am not the only one who was moved by those Mochi donuts in Cali, I REALLY liked them a lot. Like Aboni said, there is one opening in Gwinnett, so I am excited to try it when I get back. As for the med school thing, it is stressful. I think that’s honestly why so few people become them. I am really nervous to begin my medical school process, but hearing Kyra’s success makes me actually excited. I’m really happy she got in and I can’t wait to hear how much fun med school is going to be for her (ik it’s still…
I love the slo-mo lol. No, since cali I've been eating mochi donuts too. Actually, in Gwinnett they're open one just a mochi donut shop (but I've been waiting for it to open for like a year now). Any who, seeing Kyra get through it all and still alive gives me hope that I can get through it too! I really do admire her journey and fortitude, and I'm so glad she got into Yale!!! But it looks like you went on a food tour this week :))
