Pizza Schooled

Okay I think I figured out how to add photos on my phone, so go back to my last post for piccies :')

I mentioned this in my previous post, but last week I finally got my placement! As it turns out,,, I am psychic and the city that I had been manifesting, Mokpo, was my placement. I was stunned. I won't share much more information about my host placement for online safety reasons (you know the drill), but I'm pretty excited for my placement! I think it seems like a good small city with enough to explore and it's close to public transpo so I can hopefully bop around to new places on the weekends. Plus, it's a major ferry point to Jeju island, so maybe I'll get to go there a few times this year :0 stay tuned to find out I guess...

This week, there weren't so many updates in terms of orientation. We have more workshops about getting to our placements and our Korean language classes are coming to an end on Friday. Over the weekend, I went out with some friends to the main bar in town most of the people go to, I got some sweet strawberries from the local market, prayed to a special moon, and enrolled in pizza school. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves tho :D

Also, I checked 3 more items off my 300 by 30 this week:

43. Get a drink and cup of ice from a convenience store (see video recorded by my roommate below)

61. Eat tangsuyuk pork -- idk if I should count this one because I've only had it in the campus dining hall and I feel I should seek out a more delicious restaurant version, but I like even the cafeteria version so I'm sure I'll eat more in the future :D

60. Eat triangle kimbap/onigiri (I got bulgogi and burdock filling! I forgot how much I missed onigiri.....I see a lot of these for lunch in my future
