Short And Sweet (and Pictureless)

Hey folks! I don't have a whole lot to talk about this week unfortunately.

On Friday night, me, Colleen, and River cooked dinner for my family and it was a real good time. We made japchae and kimchi fried rice, and we made, like, so much. We had a ton of extra rice and noodles after, it was kind of embarrassing. But the actual dishes came out really well (the japchae came out so much better than last time I was so happy)! After that we had a little sleepover which was a pretty good time.

Yesterday, my siblings and I went to go see the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Honestly, it was so bad and I was surprised about how passionate I felt about the movie. I really think that the movie could have been good. Like, kids' movies about popular franchises don't necessarily need to be bad. Just look at Detective Pikachu.

I'm linking to my letterboxd review in case people are curious about my thoughts on this film. I think I said everything I want to say there.

Also, all of you should make letterboxd accounts (if you want) because I'm getting really into logging my films and I want to see what my friends are watching. It's basically goodreads for watching movies, so you can make a log of what you want to watch, what you've already seen, or add a review of a movie.

Welp, that's it for me this week. I'm hoping I'll be a bit more productive this week, but we shall see. I also bid for course registration last night, so I'll update you guys if my schedule is finalized by next week !!

To be honest, I've been really sad recently. I've been hoping things look up soon, but for the time being, I'm going to try to be better about pouring myself into things that I like, like reading and playing saxophone, and writing. My motivation has been so low but I've got to keep moving ahead anyway.

I’m sad to hear you have been low rn. But remember there’s always light at the end of the tunnel! And you have reading, sax, and movies to keep you going :)) (did you pick up the sax after reading Rachel’s comment?)

I'm glad the copious amounts of food you made turned out good! I wish i could have some of that japchae :(

Your review of Sonic was stunning. If I'm being honest I was never a sonic girl so I didn't know all that! Very interesting stuff. The most I can say is at least they fixed the animation but too bad it couldn't save them from the scathing pen of Erin "Walsh". No but for real, you're really good at reviewing, you've got moxie kid

I feel ya on the motivation thing. Especially since you've been home for awhile/longer than anticipated it gets harder :/ when you read this I want you to stop what you're doing and pick…
