Monsters and Mini Golf

Happy 4 days before I arrive in Europe everyone :00

This weekend Colleen and I celebrated our friend Jude's birthday with them! I've talked about Jude a bit on the blog before, but they're the main person I hang out with when I'm in Norwood besides my family and Kyra. We had a pretty jam-packed day. First, we went to Shabu Lee, our favorite restaurant in town, and got sushi.

But the real attraction of the day was Monster Mini Golf. This is a Norwood landmark, a glow-in-the-dark indoor miniature golf place that is Halloween-themed year-round and plays nothing but 80s/90s pop hits. It's kind of a trip but a really good time. I came in last though, so I have to practice my golf...

Then we went to a Vietnamese place in Randolph, our other favorite restaurant, and played Mario Kart and watched Watch Mojo videos late into the night :^)

bun, my go to :')

Other than that, my main highlights this week are that Kyra and I went to go see Drive My Car in theaters. It was a very good movie, and I would highly recommend it. It felt like it could have been a good movie club pick too. It's this slow Japanese movie about a guy who is putting on a multi-lingual version of a Chekov play and trying to come to terms with something traumatic that happened to him (no spoilers), and the theater company he works for forces him to let this young woman drive his car for him because they're worried about him getting into an accident, so the two slowly become closer. It was really gripping and interesting and surprisingly funny at times in all these ways I didn't expect. 10/10 movie cannot recommend enough!!

The Oscars were meh, lol. Not super wowed by anything I saw this year expect Worst Person in the World and Drive My Car, so not too much to say on that front.

Also my mom got a new car which is wild! I don't really have good pics of it but I had to drive it for a minute so my sister could pull out and it was crazy. It's like a spaceship to me. We had an old mini-van since I was a kid and it was having all these mechanical problems and kept breaking down, so it was definitely needed, but being a car with a backup camera and stuff is so futuristic. I'm a little anxious to drive it hehe

Anyway, see you guys soon~

Whoa, that trailer was really calming. I really wanna watch the movie now. And I agree, honestly we can revitalize now (especially since I have more consistent wifi). And maybe when we meet in Italy, we can have a movie night when we all get there! Let's call it a plan ;)...also that car is so nice, futuristic cars are the only ones I can drive nower days. It's kinda pathetic tbh, I can't backup now without one lol. We got opposite probs 😂😂

Nice new whip!! It looks really nice :00 also, imma try to watch that movie. It actually looks really good! Honestly, for the summer I would be down to revitalize movie club! I hate watching movies alone but when I go back home I’ll have Aboni and my mom (and maybe my other sister to watch it with)! Your food looks so good 😻😻
