I just wanted to share with you all that I was the "roi de Galette" and even though there wasn't anything to it, but luck I'm glad I won lol. Also, while being at Naoni's I was like I money tree and spent way more money than I was expecting xhich was fine since I don't pay for anything, but nonetheless in 4 days I spent almost €200 which kinda shocking to see come out my account at once.
Anyway, I can fit into these corduroy jeans that I've been wanting to fit in for months now. I can wear them as long I don't eat, breath, or sit lol. Also, life's been good lately. Had an in-depth conversation with my bestie, May (we literally talked for about 7 hours straight, kinda reminded me of our late night chats when we were in Capen, and we were having difficulties sleeping, so we would chat until one of us stopped responding...ahh good times). And quick question, does accepting that life is boring intrinsically means depression because I think that it's a depressing fact of life, but life isn't perfect and there are objective negatives, right? Ummm, I spoke with my dad and sis on the same chat, and it made me happy. Honestly, I haven't had all of my family in one space like...ever...so it makes me happy to have parts together that usually aren't. Hopefully, when I come back to America, I can convince everyone to come together 🙃🤡(press x for doubt). And these country Frenchies got me doing stuff I never thought I would do. Yesterday I went snowshoeing, it's quite cumbersome to do since the snow is already deep you sink less but nonetheless you're still sinking and having to life your whole leg out of the snow along with the snowshoe without tripping (which I def succeeded in and didn't trip or fall several times). I ended up giving up 30 minutes in, but it was an expereince. But these women took the shoes from me and walked so natrually, i was amazed. One women did it for the whole 3 hours that we walked. And yes, you saw that right. We walked for 5 miles in below freezing temperatures, but somehow I was still sweating because they walk at a constant 30mph :'). But while walking I realized that I was living one of my childhood dreams. Growing up I used to play this snowboarding video game, like A LOT. And would imagine clouds to be snowcapped mountains, but here I was literally on top of one. It was a really nice feeling, ngl. I sometimes forget that I'm achieving goals even shallow ones like being on top of a snowy mountain lol.
Also, I'm excited to go to Bordeaux and Chamonix, it's only two more weeks away, eeekkkkk!!!! Ugh, I feel like, yet again, my post is a stream of consciousness, but I promise next week I'll have a more clear-cut topic to talk about. Okay, bye loves....see you next week!
lol we used to have a king cake at my church every year around the Epiphany, when my church did this play to celebrate Jesus' birth. I would always volunteer to like serve dinner and the cake and stuff and I waited until after all 3 babies were found in the 3 cakes bc if you got a baby, you had to be one of the wise men in the play and i didn't want to.
Glad life has been good recently! I've always wanted to go snowshoeing
Great views!! The mountain and snow is all so pretty! Also, I like how you mentioned your call with May like I wasn’t on the call with you guys for 4 hours ;P but yeah, I’m excited for Bordeaux and Charmonix (gotta buy the tickets and stays this weekend!).
