Rachel’s Fall Favs 2019

Hip hip hooray for being done for the semester (practically). I have an exam when I come back from Italy/Germany, but that’s so off in the future I can’t be stressed about it. The exams I did take went well I think. Friday I had an exam at my school which is an hour away walking so that was fun. And yes, the grèves are still ongoing indefinitely. I’m realizing more and more that my location is very lucky. Even though I have to walk it’s usually a reasonable amount. Friday I walked 14 miles though!

Other than exams, I went to Paris’ Christmas market Saturday. Monday, we had a Smith end of semester soirée. It was so cool because the program’s academic advisor, Leslie (sociology prof) plays mandolin in bluegrass groups and she and some buddies put on a concert for us and our host families (yes, Nina and Jean were there!). They were reallyyy good in my opinion and it was a really good time. Afterwards I cut my friend Emma’s hair and Ejona slept over (long story short because of the grèves and that she lives 2 hours away walking from the school)!

So that was just a little recap but what I really wanted to make this post about was some of my favorites from this semester! I really like watching these types of videos on YouTube and I just thought it would be fun/ kinda reflective :-)

Ok sorry, I won't elaborate on these right now because I'm stressed on how I'm going to get to the airport, but I'll go back! and add pics :-)

I love petit beurre too! Do you get it packaged or freshly baked (do they even do that?). Also, the French need to chill out, but ig these protests work since the government usually will change to appease the people. But at least with all this walking, you will be ready for calf season this summer ;)
