Nothing Much :p

Oh, remember that deer I was telling you that approached me last week? Well it was super big, because she was pregnant with TWINS!!! During a storm on Friday, we saw some deer chilling underneath some tries, and it looked exactly like the fat deer hanging around the area. But she's been chilling around the house, and everyone in the house has seen her and her kids just chilling in the area. I just hope I don't see any of them dead on the side of the road. Because I've seen like four deer in the area as road kill.

Any who during the same storm me, Naoni, and Sebastian saw our first LIVING armadillo. It was so cute how it was walking and then (attempting) running. Not gonna lie, I see why they're always dead on the side of the road. The only difference between it walking versus running is that it has more of a limp and its speed increases by like .01 mph. But it was crazy because at first I thought it was an opossum. They scurry way faster, so I was trying to keep an eye on it, but when it only began limping/rocking I was like "wait...is that an Armadillo?" and we all started fangirling trying to get a video.

Unfortunately, Naoni was in the passenger seat and her phone wasn't working, so Sebastian rushed to get a video. But the storm was so bad that it disappeared out of view behind the curtain of rain, T_T. "Why were you in such a bad storm?" well, good question. Basically we went to wish Marina a happy birthday, and we went out to eat, when we got back her mom bought us a cake, and we were just eating so much of it. Before we knew it, it was late, and the storm arrived (we knew it was gonna rain because we saw the clouds rolling in and heard so much distant thunder during the day). We also had a back and forth with Marina's mom because she was being nice and trying to convince us to stay until the storm ended, but me and Bassy had to go to work early, so we were like "Nahhhh." All of this delayed us from leaving. By the time we left, the street was flooded. There was literally a river flowing in front of Marina's house which was ankle deep in like 1 minute of raining. And there were ponds of water EVERYWHERE!!!! I'm used to driving through storms, but I was hydroplaning every 5 seconds, it was WILD!

Any who, the next day I hung out with my childhood bestie, S***** Minori Warren (aka a cool girl)! We literally just talked walking, she was cleaning up for like 1.5 hours. The only reason we left was because my mom needed the car. She also made us Thai milk tea with boba, it was soooo yummy, and it made me happy. I like when people make food for me. It makes me feel loved. I'm glad that she's going to be living in the area for a bit, so that we can hang out like the good ole days.

Oh, and the icing on the cake this week was my mini mental breakdown. I was so stressed and overwhelmed by all the requirements from Peace corps, and how my old french account wants more than $70 from me just made me crack over so slightly. I sent a passive-aggressive message to PC and then tried to solve my issue with SFR and La Banque Postale. Nothing got resolved, but being able to express frustration with everything going on around me made me feel good. It made me feel less like a door mat and more like a human that doesn't like the bureaucracy that I'm being forced to go through.

The rest of the week was chill, though. I went to get chicken waffle with a twist, it was a sweet potato waffle with a cinnamon brown sugar butter and warm syrup, it was so tasty. 10/10 would recommend.

Also, do you think Chicken and Waffles is that weird/gross of a combo? Like I know it's southern, kinda like shrimp and grits, but a tasty and iconic combo nonetheless, you know. And then, Naoni went to her first day of work. Sebastian tried dango for the first time, and hated it. I was happy to finish it though, lol. Then we tried some ube ice cream, personally it was too sweet, but Naoni and Sebastian said it was perfect, so choose who you want to believe.

Also, I've been working two jobs while doing all the paperwork for PC and closing out all my French stuff has made me not being able to hang out with my friends as often. Sebastian was like, "I wanna say you're working too much, but really I just want you to know that I miss y'all." And I felt bad. I've been so focused on completing everything that I've been neglecting everyone, and I just want everyone reading to know that I do miss you all too, and I'm trying to make time for everyone while making some dineros. And please just call me if you're thinking about me 🥲 I would greatly appreciate it!
