Today was a special Wednesday because I got to see my good friend Erin she :D. We met up in Paris and had a nice day together <3 I think it was a good plan to start around 10 and part around 5 because in reality that's when I get tired in a day of exploration.
We tried matcha lattes in a cute cafe to start the day off. It's a place called Shiba cafe and it was small but they had some yummy stuff and cute things being sold. The we went to the one and only Musée de la Poste. Well there are other postal museums but this is the one in Paris. I was actually quite impressed! It was also super peaceful. I think we were the only ones there.... Then I made Erin try this Korean dessert café that I've also forced Aboni, Naoni, and Smaranda to try. Well I think everyone enjoyed it but anytime I suggest something I feel like I'm forcing it onto someone XD. Even though I think they say they're a dessert café they also had food so Erin had some delicious looking kimchi jjigae and I had a chicken bibimbap. For dessert we had a mango and oreo bingsu respectively.... This goes strongly against my new health campaign, but I will try to be better now. I will elaborate more on this whole deal later but I think you guys are pretty much up to date on that situation.
After the cafe, we popped into another museum called the Musée des Arts et Métiers. They basically have a bunch of old timey inventions on display. We also saw a baddie taking pics near the big bat airplane. Then it was time for Erin to go home.
It was overall a successful day I would say and it was nice to get my long overdue dose of Erin. We got to do a lot of catching up and I'm excited that in just a few short days we will be reunited again with the likes of Aboni and Naoni and we can party it up.
Backtrack a little bit because I want to talk about it. But last Sunday I also visited Smaranda in the town she lives in, Compiègne. It's really cute and I got to explore it more than last time. There was a cute bistro and we visited the chateau of the area. It looks more like the buildings I usually see for something like a Hôtel de Ville or prefecture building rather than a traditional european castle. But it was cool and impressive! Since it was Sunday most shops were closed, but I thought it was cute just to walk around and look in windows. A main goal of the day was also to do some baking. We made red velvet cheesecake oreo brownies that I had also made for H's family. They turned out delicious once again so I think this recipe is pretty fool-proof. I mainly made the brownies and Smaranda made this delicious treat called Rocky Road. I want to say it's a British thing because I've only ever had rocky road ice cream, but not a candy bar. It had chocolate, marshmallows, gummies, peanuts, and biscuits. It's a no-bake recipe so it kinda reminded me of rice krispies (not the texture but the process). And wow! I was impressed. Good good stuff :D
//I will add pictures and I also still want to put in a word about my past few days w birthdays and everything! So I need to hold myself to that.
Yeah, I want pics too lol, but no your day trip sounds nice. I looked up the town and there's a HUGE castle there!
I WANT PICS !! How am I supposed to know you actually did those things ;P, anyways your little day trips sound really nice :D
