So I was getting down about not hanging out with people, working all day, doing paperwork, and dealing with the usual pain. However, my luck turned around starting Sunday. On Sunday, I went to a Smithnic and got to talk to some Smithies, and it made me feel normal. Like, I actually do know how to socialize. It gave me some much-needed confidence. After the Smithnic me and Naoni hung out with Anna L. and this other girl named Shirley. Shirley was Chinese, and so we decided to go to Buford Highway and ate at a traditional Chinese restaurant. This might sound sad, but because Buford Highway is past I-285 (in the perimeter) I don't go out there and that's where a lot of Chinese and Vietnamese spots are, so I really don't know about the cuisines. However, I did try congee that had 1,000 year egg in it, I didn't like the egg, but I did like the rice porridge. I also tried some straw vegetables, Singaporean fried noodles, and deep-fried tofu with sauce. It was all REALLY good, I really need to try more Chinese food! After that, we went to a Korean bakery and got some disgusting carrot cake that had baked WALNUTS in it. It was horrible, and expensive. It was $7.50 for a slice! Everyone else ate it while I sipped on the lavender bubble tea we got, it was aight but the boba was perfection. Hanging out with Anna and Shirley made me very happy though. I wanted to hang out with them for the rest of the day, but my social battery started draining around 4pm, and I was like I love y'all but I gotta go home lol.
An hour later, got a text from Sebastian saying he got into an accident. This is literally his second accident in like 2 months. It was sad, but even worse, this time this person didn't have a license plate and drove off after the accidents (we are on the hunt for her). So later on we went to get tacos so that he didn't have to drive. It was sad, but the tacos were good, and we had nice conversations (except for the fact that I don't like animal breeding and having pets due to the Stockholm-ness of the whole situation).
Monday, Stacey, Naoni, and I went to Carrollton (basically it's West-Georgia a couple of minutes from the Alabama border...basically it's COUNTRY). We cleaned up her old apartment before she handed in her keys. Met up with one of Stacey's cool friends, named Grace. She's one of the few non-conservative (basically she's an honorary Smithie lol). I love it, and I want to become an actual friend with her (like outside of Stacey)! We ate at a cool restaurant and hung around "the Square" (according to the locals). Afterwards we went home.
Tuesday, we dropped off Sebastian's car at the dealership for repairs, meanwhile I was fighting for my life surviving off of 2 spoons of eggs in this Georgia heat. I got three fillings earlier, and it made my mouth completely numb. But after pretty much not eating all day and feeling a little malaised I chow down on some Auntie Anne's. Unfortunately, my taste buds were working, but not my mouth. I bit a hole into my lip. It was painful once the numbing wore off, but I was so hungry that I couldn't wait anymore. But today my cheeks hurt still where the put the needle, and it sucks! I'm hoping the pain to disappear soon.
(reminds me when I was younger with everyone in the house)
Yesterday, my sis came over and it was like reliving my childhood. We were fighting like literal kids (even did the "I'm not touching you" thing), and were dancing and singing some Disney songs and to some of our fave music vids. We were in just a silly goofy mood the whole evening and when it was time for me to go to sleep I drifted off quite easily...
Okay that's all, byeeeeeeee!!!
lol the Spongebob song. Hope you are feeling much better now!!
And you gotta take care of yourself Bette post-op D:<
This whole post made me smile :))) thanks for sharing!!
ahaha Smithnic, what an original word, I'm glad that even though Smith was an up and down experience, you found cool people despite everything! And I'm happy you got to see so many loved ones.I can tell you guys were having a lot of fun :D The part where you bit a hole in your lip was pretty funny but I have to admit I've been there. It's so excruciating when you have something done at the dentist and want a treat after but you can't fully enjoy D: It's a real dilemma
