Naoni probably is gonna talk about the same thing as me, but who cares right. This past week has been busy, but in a good way. I spent a lot of time with my niblings. They always put a smile on my face. Then I went to the movies with my dad which was surprisingly nice.
Anyway the two most notable days for me was Friday. I spent the earlier part of the day doing yard work. It was tiresome and Cassidy offered me to go to her pool. It sounded like a nice way to unwind especially on the 95 degree day. I arrived and got my freshly straightened hair curly again but I didn’t mind because the water was so cold and refreshing. Sebastian arrived and we all started playing volleyball after a while my competitiveness took over me and decided to race him across the pool. I thought that we had fair chances since we both part of the high school swim team. I was wrong. He beat me every time. We went halfway across, the whole length, back strokes, no breath, EVERYTHING! I kept losing and decided it was time for me to get of the pool. We then started to play BS and Cassidy
and her little sister beat me. The continuous defeats were really getting to me, but I tried to ignore it and decided to go eat dinner with them. While waiting for the food to arrive somehow me and Sebastian started playing bloody knuckles. I punched him as hard as I could but it inadvertently hurt me as well. The thing about bloody knuckles isn’t about strength, but stubbornness. So as you probably guessed it, I won. We then decided it was also a time to watch a horror movie (one which got turned down because Naoni was she was too scared). I will suggest if you’re looking to have an anxiety attack watch V/H/S 2. It kept me on edge, but it was laughable with my friends.
My second favorite time was taking a treacherous 4 ½ mile trek through the forest along a river. It was about 92 degrees, but with the humidity it felt like it was 103 degrees. I fell in the riverbed after trying to harass my friends and got dirty. We started walking and got a little lost on this 5 mile trail when we only had 1.5 hours to finish it, as the park closed at sunset. I started walking really fast and leading the group. I started to have heat exhaustion and the beginning phase of a heat stroke since I drunk all of my water. Luckily, Sebastian had extra water and I chugged it down. Staving my starting heat stroke back down to heat exhaustion. I sped walk the rest of the way back to the car and was finally able to relax in the car with the A.C set to low. Afterwards we got some grub at Chipotle, per usual. All in all it was a nice couple of days. And excited to make more memories with my friends and family before I leave next week.
