Getting back in the swing of things (post covid)

So far, so good on my resolution to post on time! Naoni is trying to stop me from completing this goal, but I will not let her defeat me this time. By the way, Naoni ambushed me this morning and is now staying in my apartment and trying to replace me.....

In other news, I'm recovered from my illness and back in the swing of things. Work has been good this week. I think I do have more energy overall after having a moment to recharge. Last weekend we had a book club meeting for my lab. It was only the second meeting, but I thought it was really fun. We went to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Times Square. It was probably exactly as you imagine things. There was a big Statue of Liberty that had periodic light shows. This Monday was MLK day, so we didn't have work either :D So it was quite a long break for me.... Over the long weekend, I mainly did things to get back into the swing of everything - cooking, cleaning my room, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. It's good now though because I feel like everything is in order.

This Friday, I had another lab meeting presentation. I just have to present an article, so I'm not too stressed about it.... but maybe tomorrow evening will be a different story. But anyways, I hope it'll go well. The last time I had to present, Naoni also somehow happened to be here. I'm sensing a pattern. I also signed up finally to take Physics 2 at a local college. I'm a bit nervous because I think it'll be stressful on top of work, but it must be done. I start next Wednesday, so wish me luck!

After my presentation is over, I'll be more at ease and ready to party it up with Naoni this Lunar New Year Weekend. To all the other year of the rabbits out there, don't forget to wear something red all year to keep away the bad luck.

I went to a cute bakery this weekend!

I got all of this stuff for $8! It was on a food app where you can buy surprise bags from places that will be tossing it soon anyways (but it's still good at that point).

I also got these yummy pizza slices through that app as well :)

This weekend, Kenzie and I made waffles :) They turned out yummy...

This is Phineas' new collar that can keep him entertained.
