Fondamental

I'm not gonna talk about all the shows that I watched growing up. That would be too many, so I'm gonna talk about books, shows, and movies that shaped me into the person today. Not things that I'm nostalgic over. So yeah. I would say a very formative book that I read was actually Judy Moody.

It was the first chapter book that I ever read. As a kid I didn't like reading and honestly I was too obsessed with playing video games like Poptropica, Dress Up Games, and Crash to care. Judy Moody encouraged me to become a more adventurous person. She was always making up adventures and doing things that scared her. She even had her own dictionary which was a test to her own creativity and adventurousness. I also liked how she planned things. She never has a shortage of things that she wanted to do. She was also just a kid that did stuff she liked and couldn't care less about everyone else which was cool. I also liked her "moodiness" she wasn't afraid of expressing herself.

As I said before there's a lot of shows that I watched and nostalgic over and characters whom I love, but none of which I would say shaped me into the person I am today. A very big and formative movies in my life would be August Rush, I am Sam, and The Pursuit of Happiness. These movies taught me a lot about life.

I feel like growing up we are confined to the lives our family defines for us. August Rush taught me how music can being people together no matter the distance and I realized the importance of music in life. The Pursuit of Happiness taught me that you can be complacent with what you have while still working hard to achieve your goals and to overall just be appreciative for what you have no matter what. Finally, I am Sam was a movie about an autistic father and how he wouldn't let society define his ability to be a good father. It was very inspirational and overall taught me to be headstrong and determined!

I feel like mine is a lot shorter than y'all's (I guess because I'm keeping my definition of formative very strict). But if we talked about songs and video games my list would be a lot longer. Anyway that's about it... hoped you enjoyed it!

Oh and I have strep throat :(

Oh and look at this cool photo I took outside my house!

I think this post is nice short and sweet as is Judy Moody was a good series! Those kinds of series always made me want to be more adventurous too and definitely gave me ideas (despite not being that adventurous by nature) even today I try to think of ways to retain that spirit and get off my butt (your fashion show idea had that energy) We’ve def already discussed before but I was also really moved by August Rush :’)

I never got into Judy Moody but I feel like all those series about fun-loving little girls were always good.

All those movies are movies my dad used to tell me about as a kid! I can definitely see how those were very formative
