Eat with Caution

Updated: Jan 3, 2020

The other day something truly TERRIFYING happened. I was laying on my bed minding my own business when I felt something plop onto my shoulder. I looked down and sitting in my hair was a water bug. If you've never seen one of these horrid creatures, they look like giant cockroaches. I wanted to get it off of me asap but didn't want to touch it. In a panic, I sat up and it crawled over my shirt and onto my leg. I shooed it away but it scurried into my blanket. Eventually, I found it hiding behind my bed and my dad hit it with a slipper...I'm glad it can't come back for revenge but I feel like its buddies are gonna come for me in the night. I was thinking about it before and this incident is probably karma for the time me and my friend tried to drown a water bug we found in her bathtub as kids. Obviously, it didn't drown because it was a water bug and I bet it went and told all its friends.

In other news...

Over the weekend, I got to see the one and only Anna. I had to restrain myself from writing her last name for privacy purposes, but if you're reading this insert her last name while you read. We went for Boba Guys and got two bubble teas each. She told me a scary story about a girl who had to get her stomach pumped because she had too many bubbles in it, and I thought that'd be a pretty shitty way for things to go down. Before hearing this, I thought everyone chewed their bubbles because well swallowing them just seems wrong, but in case you don't this is your intervention–chew your bubbles or your stomach will be pumped!!

We also played Monopoly with Elijah. I went bankrupt :( but it was still fun.

Pixar edition :D

This week was also my first week at camp. It's going pretty well so far except some of our kids have gotten into the habit of picking and eating random berries they find. Kids are wild.

I Kno that it would be bad for some reasons...but if we put every bug on a spaceship and sent them to outer space my life would be drastically improved for like 1 week before total ecological collapse happened Rip to the Emma Seng Business Empire,, you're one of the proletariat once more...but you have nothing to lose but your chains now, remember that

Thanks Naoni for sharing that story it was too traumatic for me to recount the story. Anyway your week seems so calming and wholesome. You are really out here living your best life!!! (Also who actually swallows boba, like you don't swallow trix whole you know)

Aboni has a similar waterbug story! She was in my Aunt’s house and she and my other sister and I were all watching tv and she said she felt itchy and scratched her neck and then saw a bunch of black stuff under nail and then she saw its antenna or something like that and freaked. It stayed on her for a few secs and then fell down. But yeah luckily I never had a waterbug on me (thank God) but I don’t wanna jinx it. Anyway, Anna [insert last name] looks so happy and cheery, y’all must’ve had a lot of fun. Also you should tell the kids and very scary, graphic story about someone who ate those berries.…

That water bug story is horrid. I think I would have cried 😰 but yay!!!! For Anna [redacted due to sensitive material ] 😘 I saw that boba story too 😫 I have one friend who swallows it like that and I’m like that’s not how you consume bubble tea and now I have solid proof Aren’t these kids ... in middle school..... why are they eating the berries ?! Good luck Charlie
