This past week, like I said I would, I've just been chilling out. H had a lot of exam papers to finish so he would stay up all night and then I would stay up all night.... so basically my sleep schedule is all out of wack. I was mainly finishing a knit cardigan. I finished with the knitting and now I just have to fix the loose ends and sew in buttons. There's also this thing you can do called blocking where you wet the fabric and let it set but I don't have the materials and will probably wait until I'm in the US to get them. I have a lot more crochet and knit plans!
This past Sunday was a special day, mother's day and the birthday of two special tauruses. Happy birthday to you know who ;)
Yesterday we took the train to Tours and we're staying at H's family's house for the week. It's nice to just relax while here and the weather is really starting to feel like summer :D I thought I would have more to say this week but now it's all escaping me. Before going to Tours, I also had some fun discovering new places in Amiens. There's a newly opened donut shop and boba shop :0 Donuts in France are often disappointing to me but these were not too bad I had to say. And Amiens didn't seem to have much good boba (ie none that I knew about) so I'm very happy that this one opened! Seems legit to me and it was yummy. I was never a fruit tea girlie but after Rome I seem to be.
I also had a call with the Famous Claire P. This was a highlight of my week because I hadn't talked to her in such a long time and funny enough I was thinking of that before she facetimed me out of the blue. My heart goes out to her because she's in the midst of medical school applications. She gave me a lot of advice on the process and I have a feeling I'll keep seeking counsel as I get more serious about this endeavor. Besides working in New York, I know I'll have to find something else for clinical hours. I was thinking scribing, but we'll see if that ends up being feasible since they require at least 20 hours....I'm not so good at keeping up with all of my friends, but I appreciate being able to catch up <3 If you're reading this Claire, you better visit me!
I've also been still working on my cooking :)
We were looking at this place that has taiyaki and onigiri and they were closed but the guy working there came out to tell us and randomly gave us some taiyaki for free :0 so lucky!
Omg that’s so cool: you get free taiyaki, get a new boba store, AND you get a call from Claire. I don’t know about you, but I call that a really good week! Also, after realizing how far Tours, I’m impressed you go there so often!
