This past long weekend, the main event for me was a special visit from two special people: Claire and Kristiana!!! I haven't seen Kristiana since 2021 graduation, and Claire since our road trip after graduation :0. So much has happened since, so there was a lot of catching up to be done.
Last week in NYC, it was awful weatherwise. Cold, wet, gray, rainy. I am okay with those things individually, but all together was a bit of a disaster. I caught cold or allergies, and Friday was terrible :( Saturday, Claire and Kristiana arrived though and thankfully I was in the recovery phase of my minor bout of sickness (I was also paranoid but tested negative for Covid). The weather has also been a million times better since then.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves in terms of what all we got up to. But overall it was a lot of yummy food, talking, and hanging out. I felt like it wasn't too too jam packed but we definitely took advantage of the city.
[reunited!! photo options for a future calendar]
[Claire appreciation <3 Pray for Claire and her medical school applications. She is really in the thick of it, but I know she can do it! It was fun because Claire lived in the city a summer and we did some ~nostalgic~ things with her]
[Kristiana is camera shy but the camera loves her ;) For those of you that aren't aware, she is a loyal blog reader]
[we had a lot of food plans for the weekend, and I have to say, it didn't miss. Honestly it was all highlights for me, even the delivery ramen we did to my room! Claire brought me cookies all the way from the bay area!! we went to an italian place that was all pink inside and the pasta was very very delicious. Claire got cacio e pepe, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be :0. We also went to a vegan Szechuan place that I've been before and would definitely go again]
[and some interiors and exteriors of the places we went :)]
I'm very grateful they came all the way over here to see me. I miss being able to hang out whenever, but that's the way it goes. Kristiana is in New England, so she's not so far away and hopefully we'll be able to see each other more! I wanted to visit her soon, so I should look into that. I feel really grateful to have gotten to see so many of my friends again recently <3 and more to come!!
:0 good luck to Claire, and hi Kristiana!
