Back to Normal

This week was pretty chill. I went to a diner with a couple of cool cats (like Rachel) and it was so cool because it had the old style jukebox. Not the newer ones that you find at like WaHo (Waffle House) like you actually put a quarter in and type in the letter and number that align with the song you want. It was super cool and old style which I liked, and we played Georgia on my Mind by Ray Charles someone no one really knew about which I was odd to me. I have watched his biography movie a million times, but then again I always watched it on BET and not everyone watched BET as a child.

Good bop right! Anyway I moved me, Rachel, April, Anna, May, and Claire's Park stuffs from Comstock to Capen. It was a lot of work, but luckily we started early in the morning so it was too hot. By the end of all the moving my body was super sore, but I continued to move the stuff from the basement to my room and that was a lot of work too. Now I am all moved in and it's super cute (maybe I'll add photos of it later). Also, I have seen Naoni after almost 2 months, and I was super happy. She had all of these cool gifts and stories to tell and it made me happy to hear them. My main complaint is that she has become a little more snappy though which I don't like, but I think I have mellowed out, so I think I can handle it for the next couple of days. And she keeps screaming a lot which is annoying, but other than that we have been getting along quite surprisingly well. We have been staying up late talking (mostly about society and anime) and relaxing for the most part. Also, on Tuesday went to trivia at Packard and won third place because there were four teams and two teams tied for second place so that was pretty dope. Our team (Rachel, Omema, this other girl, April, Naoni, and Me) made it in last place but still won a prize (we promised to study for next week along with spending our Packard dollars before Rachel leaves). Then Yesterday I spent about an hour talking with Selah, Isabel, and Holly. It was nice to chit chat with them, but I found myself code switching with them (a phenomenon I recently found out about and find myself doing) and the main reason I was aware of it was because April, my white friend, was around and I don't think she has ever heard me talk like that OTL. After the long convo we parted and Isabel came over to watch this TV show which had some very uncomfy sex scenes. I then decided to get into bed early since me and Naoni have been talking later than my usual bedtime of like 9:30, but I got obsessed with Tumblr and then just couldn't fall asleep afterwards. I have been late of work all week because of this lack of sleep, and I am kind of sad about it. Anyway this week I am not in Georgia, but I am actually not sad about it or feeling homesick :)
