Something that comes to mind when I think of yellow is this exercise we did in my high school psych class. Our teacher had everyone think about specific colors and then think of someone that we associated with each color. Afterwards, he explained the meaning behind the people that you thought of when you thought about the different colors. For yellow, he said whoever you thought about was someone that you would never forget. And I remember one of my friends telling me after class that they thought of me for yellow and what's interesting is that friend is one of the only people that I still keep in close contact with now that I'm out of high school. In hindsight, I think some of the activities we did in psych were kind of bs, but I still think about them fondly.
Now, here are some shades of yellow that I found around my house:
Pale yellow
(pictured above–a toy that Isabelle L. got sent, lotion, a Dreyfus lion staring at another Dreyfus lion who didn't make the photo cut)
Bright yellow
(pictured above–some well traveled ricolas (not spon.), lemons or ripe limes depending on who you ask, nancy drew boxset, a fish on our shower curtain, lego flower box, egg filled with secrets that wix tried to tag as a face)
Almost orange/golden yellow
(picture above–duck, my journal, fun pants)
I really enjoyed this week's theme! I like how open it was and I felt like it gave us some variety.
What a cute story :’) idk how you’d prove that psychologically (that whoever you associate yellow with you’d never forget) bc it sounds more like one of those old sayings like “you sneeze when someone in the world is thinking of you” but yeah nevertheless cute sentiment :) And ooh Nancy drew! Glad to see another fan in the house
That little psych exercise sounds cute! And I thought this theme was very experimental but fun too, I really like everyone’s take on it :)) (And those are yellow limes ;P)
Yeah me too! I think that you and Rachel did this theme really well. Good job kid!
