Aboni’s Vlog #1

I finally went to the end of 316 (the main highway in the county) and went to UGA. It’s so different out there. Everyone is so chilled compared to other colleges I’ve been to. Granted my comparisons are limited since I’ve literally never did one college tour in my life. First order of business when I got there was to hang out with my og sugar daddy(aka bff): Alex Saucedo. He introduced to this interesting Latino restaurant. The walls had Frida Kahlo which I loved! But they had weirder stuff up like Simon Bolivar and random mannequins. The food was exquisite though. I hadn’t had corn tortilla tacos in a while and remember why they are such a popular dish. I also ordered a virgin sangria and it tasted so much like alcohol I thought the waitress made a mistake. Even Alex who was hungover(he was puking and pooping all night lol) meaning he knows exactly what alcohol tastes like had some and was confused. Nonetheless, it was good, but the one in Montreal was sweeter than this one. I then got a tour of campus and went downtown Athens and understood why it’s name was stolen from Greece. It’s literally a city on a hill. It was awe-inspiring tbh. But my friends took me to this bubble tea shop and I had some much boba in the tea and I was in love. We played some jenga there and eventually spy fall.

It was a nice day trip out there unfortunately me and Cassidy gad to leave due to this storm that was moving in bringing possible tornadoes. Cassidy, bless her heart, wanted to get out of the storm, so she was speeding, but we started hydroplaning and I one point fishtailed. I was scared in the beginning, but at one point I just accepted my fate and relaxed. The roads were flooding, so we made a put stop at my house and as I was running in lightning started up and started striking around the house. The wind was upwards to 60-70mph and the power starting going in and out. The news issued a tornado watch(meaning they’re looking out for one) and I got worried a tornado was gonna form especially since at one point the rain literally went horizontal. Luckily, it passed in an about an hour. No trees fell on my house nor was it blown away which was good. Unfortunately, not everyone else was too lucky. Some trees landed on people and houses and over 100,000 people lost power. Once the roads looked less wet we sped to Atlanta. When we got there we all made it to Slutty Vegan and I dropped $25 T_T. I stayed at Cass and Bass’s apartment for a while and it was really fun. I was nervous about staying at their apartment because Sebastian's boyfriend was gonna be staying there, but ofc my anxiety made me forget that Bassy is my bff and thus his partner would be a cool cat too. He’s a spicy dude who’s not to speak his mind he’s funny and lowkey (I hate to admit it) got me into robloks. Just enough for me to understand the hype around it. Anyway, on Sunday we went to the high museum of art which was cool because they had some new exhibits from the last time I went. Afterwards with our feet hurting made it over to sweet hut. Another Asian fusion bakery but this one has hot dog buns filled with cream which is super weird but apparently good(according to Sebastian bf). Me and Sebastian decided to try taro milk tea. It was good as well but idk if I would seek it out again. We then walked to publix after that, and I was persuaded by those cursed deals to buy some kombucha. Since it was on sale I decided to try some new flavors: lavender and cranberry. Lavender was really good and cranberry was ight. I felt that being there though the energy was off I guess it was because Naoni wasn’t there. Usually I’m quite, but when Naoni talks I just piggy back on her statements so it makes me “talkative”. Also, I believe since my host were in school they are more stressed than during the breaks where we just chill at my house.

Any who I had to leave early due to a surprise massage my mom scheduled for me! On Tuesday I got massaged by a goddess! It was literally the best massage I have gotten. Because I got scoliosis mostly in my top upper back I get a lot of pain there and backpacks and looking at my laptop doesn’t help, but she did something with those magical fingers and moved a lot of the knots in my back! When y’all come here y’all have to get a message, okay! Also, college made me realize how judgmental I am and how annoying/unhealthy it can be so I’m gonna make that my “new year’s resolution” to keep my opinions and things to myself unless someone asks.
