Nothing Catchy, Nothing Flashy

I was supposed to have posted an hour ago but here I am an hour later making this post because I got distracted: I reread through some of my posts and I realized just how grateful I am we started this (thanks guys <3).

Anyway, I didn't do much except hang out with friends, get rained on, get an ear infection, and catch up on paperwork.

I finally got to see my friend M***** for her "bday" (it was the 3rd of July, but she was all the way in Florida, or as the Northerners say 🤮Flarda🤮). We chilled at her house before going to eat at a restaurant where we accidentally didn't give our server-esque dude a tip before going back to her house to eat cake and chitchat. Then I finally visited this cafe called Peachtree Cafe with Aboni and Sebastian to try their sweet potato waffle and fried chicken. It was yummy but I was definitely scared I was going to die after realizing they are made with cinnamon. Then I got to see Stacey again back in good ole Gwinnett county and got to meet her newish dog. We hung out and she made us thai boba tea (I love this woman with my whole heart, I'm sorry but it must be said).

As for getting rained on, because the temps have consistently been in the 100s it meant we were due for a thunderstorm. Ususally we have daily thunderstorms when it's this hot, but instead we have just been getting rain/cloudiness so I guess all the thunderstorms have been building up because everyday last week, it has just been severe thunderstorms. The thunderstorms are so bad that the wildlife doesn't even know what to do.

[Thanks to the storms, me and Aboni and Sebastian got to see our first LIVE Armadilla. Also, sorry for the yelling in the vid, we were freaking out because my camera wasn't working and we really wanted proof of the encounter]

And yes, I got an ear infection :') I think it is from the beach. I remember water getting in my ear but I must've forgotten to shake it out because here I am, sick... I don't feel too bad except for the tenderness of my ear and the juices in my sinus that I can't seem to blow out therefore making me sound like a snotty nose kid.

Lastly, and the most excited news of all: I finished all my medical clearance for Peace Corps! It was arduous but I am glad I started early and knocked it all out as soon as I did. Hopefully all is well and there will be no complaints >-<.
