Hello guys, it's your girl again ;), as you can tell from the title, my week has been filled with more eating than I think I have since being here which is nice. And what makes it better is that it hasn't been on my dime/that expensive! For example, last week my coworker was sad that I hadn't tried many french foods so she took me over to eat at her house. We had apero, then escargot, then beef bourguinon, then cheeses, then salade, then dessert all while eating bread and wine in between. By the end of the night I was completely stuff and sleepy, I had to lie and tell them that I had a phone call with my parents at 11:30pm just so that I could leave and not eat anymore (or speak anymore french).
Anyways, I made acquaintance with a chicken near my school a while back and became a little sad when I realized that I hadn't seen her for a week and just assumed she was eaten but I saw her again today and that made me happy (that or the house owners did actually eat her and just got another chicken that looks just like her).
Aside from that, the weather here has been "nice"! I have become very accustomed to constant rain and drizzle since being here even going as far as to always carry an umbrella for when it gets tooooo wet, but for about three weeks now, it hasn't rained. And there has actually been a few sunny days in those weeks as well, however the no rain has brought in constant fog which is odd for me. Fogginess is usually temporary and only happens during early morning, but here it lasts all day and is surprisingly really thick as well.
But yeeeeah that's all for me :))) before you go though, I have a question that I would like for you guys to answer: so my roommate keeps saying that I randomly add "s" to the end of my words, do you think I do so (this is a whole other thing that I am not really interested in unpacking (but if you would like to know more I would be more than happy to tell ya I just don't want to unpromptly rant about her and bog you guys down like I've often been doing lately)). I ask though cause I've never been told this so I am interested to know if it is just a her thing or if no one ever cared to tell me (also you guys know I am lowkey very paranoid by the way I speak). As usual, I'll leave some pics from my week and I hope you guys have a good week! Stay awesome and do good!!!
Me making homemade tteokbokki!
We already talked about the /s/ thing but yeah I think it is irritating that she would try to correct yeah, I agree with Aboni and your mom. And cool that you liked the escargot and have been eating well :')
You know I love the drama (I feel like her feeling the need to correct your English all the times is tied to white supremacy FOR SURE because who are you to tell a native speaker that they're speaking wrong 🤪, maybe not what she's used to, but that's an adjustment she needs to make not you). Also people have also told me that I add /s/ to the end of my words, but I never cared to correct myself, but put simply, that's just the way I speak.
Wow!!! And your roommate is a ham! Lol
