Honestly life couldn’t be better for me: I am in Japan!!!!!! It’s a real cool place, everything is accessible via subway so I’ve been to a lot places to say the least (though the stipend they gave me is depleting quickly T-T). Anyway, imma let my pictures speak for themselves:
It all started with a plane ride...
This was the little street behind the hotel Erin and I were staying at. This street happened to have a really good ramen shop that Erin, our new maties from the program, and I at!
Erin and I were trying to find a uniclo (we didn’t find one that day ://) and stumbled upon this shrine called the shinagawa shrine.
Here’s a beat panda play set toy, I dont know why but I like his vibes.
Here is this cool building Erin and I happened upon in the Yokohoma Chinatown. This Chinatown was really bustling and huge and had A LOT of people. We didn’t go any into many places since there were such long lines. But one of the places we went into had BSD stuff!!
We finally found the uniclo!
I went to Shibuya which is home to the famous crosswalk that is shown for Japan. There were lots of people here too and a lot of shopping and food.
This city is called Akihabara and is known for its anime, manga, and electronics/gaming stores as well as for their maid cafes.
This is the oldest temple in Japan , called Senso Ji. part I.
This is the oldest temple on Japan part II.
This is a “kappa” and is suppose to be the protector of the city of Asakusa. It might not look it, but it’s a frog. I went to this city lowkey because of this anime Caitlin and I watch.
This is a guest palace in Yotsuya. It looks a lot like Versailles. Apparently its first guest was President Ford.
This is Shinjuku, another place I went to lowkey because of an anime, which Aboni and I watched.
This place was cool, it was a digital art museum called TeamLab Borderless. I took some pretty cool pics here that I want to post to my insta soon!
This is the Tokyo eye, like any other city it’s just a big Ferris wheel in the city.
I agree with aboni, the lights look like tangled!! Everything looks so beautiful!! Excited to go to Tokyo next week too :-) mayb I'll see you on the train
I haven’t had a host fam yet, I meet my first one tomorrow tho!!
so beautiful!! I especially like the panda and kappa. They've got star potential. I also like how you "lowkey" do a bunch of things bc of anime. like sure...... it was lowkey. You've been with a host family too right?! How has it been??? Looking forward to see those musuem pics posted :-)
This is so cool!!! And the pic with all the lanterns looks like the scene from Tangle, "Now I See the Light"...Also I want to Japan T_T
